Suggestions??(Extended)

I need some small house-little closets-even smaller kitchen-storage ideas. Input requested and appreciated!!!

Well, I'm going from a small house with two large closets and an attic that I could use to store boxes (Rubbermaid tubs.) I also had a fairly large kitchen with a lot of counter space and cabinets. The house we will be moving to has only small closets and the kitchen has only one wall of counter space, with few cabinets.

I will need a place to store canned/boxed/dry food, as well as my boxes of extra clothing (i.e. maternity, post-maternity, baby clothes, seasonal clothing). I'm beginning to stock up on household items, so I need ideas on storing that as well.

Can you tell us more? What do you need to store?

I have been known to store boxes of clothes and/or canned goods under beds.

Would you be able to get one of those little yard sheds for seasonal stuff? We have one that happened to be on the property when we bought this place. I don't know what we'd do without it. We could actually use two of them for all the hand-me-downs we have stored!

We just moved from a two bedroom townhouse and there wasn't a lot of storage space. I used a baker's rack to hold food. I had this in the basement. For my small appliances I had a small bookshelf in my kitchen. Before that we had a small kitchen...and I had the bakersrack out on our closed in front porch. I would put food and small appliances on it. Clothes, I would put under the bed. Or I would use my kids closets if there was room. I hope this helps. Blessings Betty-Jo (MIH)
